Pick at your hotel and we will go to the vineyards of Fronsac then St Emilion and Entre Deux Mers...
First visit at château LA RIVIERE in Fronsac area ; wonderful château from XVIe century. You will discover the unique panorama on the Dordogne valley, the cellars on the limestone quarries... You will taste the red wines coming from this excellent « terroir ».(tasting with supplement, 4 € per person).
Lunch in a wine bar l’ENVERS DU DECOR near the old walls of St Emilion ; noted as the best place in the city to discover this long history of gastronomy and wine production. Handed by François de Ligneris, winegrower in Bordeaux and in the south of France, it is a wonderful place to experience a quiet moment with a fine “cuisine du marché” made by two young “chefs” (with supplement, menu 28 €).
You will visit then Château de PRESSAC St Emilion grand cru ; 42 ha estate owned by Mr QUENIN ; since he bought this 18e century estate, he invested a lot in the vineyards, cellars... to be now close to the best wines in St Emilion. Based on the slope dominating the Dordogne valley, the wines from PRESSAC are very typical from clay on limestone « terroir ». (with supplement, 5 € per person).
Visit at Château du COURROS in ENTRE DEUX MERS area owned by the family DURAND since one century; this 15e century castle (typical from the middle age) is based on the slope dominationg the vineyards. « Coup de cœur » for the roman architecture and for the winemakers producing fine red and dry white wines.
Transportation in a comfortable 6 seats air conditioned vehicle.
Visits and tastings with supplement ; if impossibility will replaced by another with same level.
